C’était un Rendez-Vous by Claude Lelouch

C’était un rendez-vous is a notorious short film made in 1976 by French Director Claude Lelouch. It was shot in a single take, using a gyro-stabilised camera mount attached to the front of a car as it raced through the streets of Paris at dawn. The car was rumoured to be Lelouch’s own Ferrari 275 GTB although Lelouch has since stated it was actually filmed in a 6.9L Mercedes with the sounds from a Ferrari dubbed over the top. The film runs at 10 minutes due in main to the limited capacity of the camera reel.

The film has recently been re-mastered and released on DVD. Enjoy.
