What’s with this fucking tie Business?

Fun packed day today. Went to a lunch meeting with my ‘LA film executives’ over at Santa Fe at Gunwharf quays and followed up by going to the cinema with my bestest buddy in the whole wide world ‘Tom’. We went to see I, Robot featuring new master of the cheesy one liners, Will Smith - yes that 2 bit actor from Fresh Prince of Bel Air.

Then tonight after games of Manhunter and watching shit uk TV we watched none other than the past master of the cheesy one liners: The man, the legend, Arnold “Come on, Kill me” Schwarzenegger himself in “Half-Naked Muscle Men with Big Guns” or Predator as its sometimes referred to.

Today was a good day, I leave you with this thought;

‘Keep on keeping on’.

It’s not Hip hop… it’s electro… prick.

I’ve been busy ok. I have had to keep on with the design of the Souled website and sort out stuff for my PA job. I also have a lovely girlfriend who I have been going to visit and recieving visits from (Hi sexeh!). Also lots of my good buddies are returning from their summer sabbaticals and I’ve been influenced by mad IRC buddies who have been forcing me to play Rise of Nations with them. All that and a severe bout of blogging apathy might go some way to explaining my absence. I dunno if I can really classify this as a blog as aI hardly ever talk about anything other than some random films I have seen and fairly uneventful happenings, anyway on with the show…

Was doing some online quiz which was actually quite fun:

You are Amiga OS. Ahead of your time. You keep a lot of balls in the air. If only your parents had given you more opportunities to suceed.

Which OS are You?

OK so I am a huge Amiga fan from back in the day and the only reason i bothered posting it was because I was so chuffed I got Amiga OS as my result. I didnt notice it was an option and if you take the test you would see how it would be impossible to manufacture the result from the questions. Which made it all the more fun getting a nice result. Of course if you’ve never heard of the Amiga then it probably wouldnt be but meh.

In other news I watched Shaun of the Dead and Jersey Girl recently. Both get the thumbs up treatment. I also added some new links to the friends of CPC bit of the links page - when I next redesign I suppose I’ll get around to linking to people on the front page - but I think a redesign is still a ways off yet.

I got one search hit from someone who wanted to know “how to do a razor cut on black hair” it is far from the wierdest result I’ve had for search strings but it is still amusing.

Wakey wakey, eggs and bac-ey.

Finally got the new Kill Bill Vol.2 DVD and managed to get another one of the special limited editions with the postcards inside the case from HMV. In other news I got a gig as a Production Assistant for a company from LA who is shooting a conference here in Pompey later this month. I’ve also been doing a lot of work on the forthcoming ‘Souled’ website which you will be able to visit here: www.souled.co.uk

Once I’ve finished that I will most likely start doing a revamp of this website - I built it to get me really familiar with css and xhtml as half the reason I had left my websites to rot was because I wasn’t happy in coding in plain HTML any longer and thought it best I expand my horizons unfortunately I kept procrastinating at the idea of re-learning how to code a website. Now I’m a lot more confident with CSS I’ll try working on something a little more taxing. I think I took the plain HTML styling as far as it could go and hopefully I’ll be able to do something similar with CSS. I really need to get a real home for my film work as well and I’ll probably work on the ‘Flock of Seagulls’ website which still has details of the last project on it: www.cyberpunkcafe.net/hosted/fos/ for the revamp I’ll really need a decent hosting solution for my video files (streaming the films I’ve done over the net will take a lot of hosting space) and I’d prefer to see if I could come up with a free solution as my current hosts would charge me too much for extra space (hey I am a student you know!). Anyway if you have a solution thenget in touch or leave a comment, much appreciated.
